Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Collision on Franklin Boulevard in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario - On May 4, 2021, at approximately 4:50 p.m., Emergency Services responded to a motor vehicle collision involving an SUV and a small car in the area of Franklin Boulevard and Jamieson Parkway in Cambridge.  

The SUV was travelling south and attempted to turn into a parking lot, crossing two oncoming lanes of traffic. The SUV was T-boned by the car, which was travelling north. 

The collision resulted in significant damage to both vehicles. The driver of the SUV, a 42-year-old female, and the passenger, a 37-year-old female, did not suffer physical injuries. 

The driver of the car, a 33-year-old male, was transported to hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with non-life-threatening injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are pending.
