Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Collision on Preston Parkway in Cambridge

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a motor vehicle collision that occurred on Preston Parkway in Cambridge. 

On August 31, 2022, at approximately 1:30 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision involving a pickup truck and a cyclist. 

The cyclist, an 8-year-old youth from Cambridge, suffered serious injuries as a result of the collision. 

The youth was transported to hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services. 

The driver of the pickup truck, a 36-year-old female from Kitchener, did not sustain any physical injuries. 

The investigation is ongoing by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit.
