Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Deaths on Forsyth Drive in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the deaths of two individuals from a home on Forsyth Drive in Waterloo.

On July 31, 2020, just after 9 a.m., Emergency Services were called to a residence on Forsyth Drive in Waterloo.

Upon arrival, police located two individuals in medical distress. Life-saving measures were performed by the responding officers and paramedics.

A Waterloo female, 38, and a two-year-old child were transported to hospital.

On August 2, 2020, the two-year-old boy succumbed to his injuries.

On August 3, 2020, the 38-year-old female succumbed to her injuries. The female is the mother of the child.

The child’s death is being investigated as a homicide, and the female is believed to have passed away as a result of self-inflicted injuries.

Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit are continuing to investigate the incident. However, police are not looking for any other suspects.
