Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Fatal Collision in Woolwich Township

Waterloo Region, Ontario  Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate a fatal collision in Woolwich Township.

On January 13, 2025, at approximately 6:50 a.m., emergency services responded to reports of a serious collision in the area of Hawkesville Road and Three Bridges Road.

Upon arrival, it was determined that the collision involved three vehicles: a red Chevrolet, a white Toyota pickup truck, and a blue Kia SUV.

The driver of the Kia, a 56-year-old Brantford male, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the Toyota, a 35-year-old male from Wellesley Township, sustained non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The driver of the Chevrolet, a 30-year-old female from Wilmot Township, did not sustain any physical injuries.

The intersection was closed for several hours for the investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation by WRPS' Traffic Services Unit remains ongoing.
