
Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of a male with a handgun outside of a residence in Kitchener.
On September 16, 2021, police responded to the area of Ramblewood Way and Brookside Crescent after receiving a report of a dispute involving a possible handgun.
The suspect male was seen attempting to enter vehicles in the area. A resident confronted the male, and a verbal argument ensued. A short time later, a loud bang was heard in front of one of the residences.
The incident is believed to have occurred around 4:30 a.m. There were no reports of physical injuries.
Through investigation, it was determined that the suspect male was believed to have been holding a possible firearm. The male fled on foot on Brookside Crescent.
The male has been described as white, in his late teens to early 20s, with shoulder-length hair and has a slim build.
The investigation is ongoing.
