Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Robbery at Convenience Store in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario - 

On April 29, 2021, members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Robbery Unit arrested a 14-year-old Kitchener male in connection to this incident. Information received from the general public was instrumental in identifying the suspect. 

The young person was arrested in Hamilton and transported back to Kitchener to be held for show cause hearing on charges of Robbery with a Weapon, Disguise with Intent and Weapons Dangerous.

The weapon used in the robbery has been recovered.

Original Release-

On April 21, 2021, at approximately 9:50 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a report of a robbery at a convenience store located in the area of Country Hill Drive and Old Country Drive in Kitchener. 

A male suspect entered the store and demanded cash while brandishing a knife. 

The suspect has been described as a white male, approximately 5'7" tall, with a medium build. 

There were no reported physical injuries as a result of the incident.
