Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Sexual Assault on University Avenue West in Kitchener

UPDATED RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Major Crime Unit continue to investigate a sexual assault that occurred on July 31, 2022, in the area of University Avenue West and Glasgow Street in Kitchener. 

The male suspect has been described as a Black male, approximately six feet tall, 40-45 years old, bald, and was last seen wearing a blue golf shirt and jean shorts. The male was also seen carrying a reusable green shopping bag.

PREVIOUS RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a sexual assault that occurred in the area of University Avenue West and Glasgow Street in Kitchener. 

On July 31, 2022, police received a report from a female who was walking on University Avenue West when she was approached by an unknown male and sexually assaulted. 

The victim, a 21-year-old female, was able to flee the area to safety. 

The incident occurred at approximately 2:30 p.m. 

There were no reported physical injuries.

The investigation is ongoing.
