Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Stabbing Incident in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating a report of a stabbing at an apartment building in Kitchener. 

On July 11, 2021, at approximately 2:50 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Joseph Street and Queen Street South. 

Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 25-year-old Waterloo male suffering from stab wounds. The male was transported to an out-of-region hospital by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

Through the initial investigation, it is believed that the incident was targeted and there is no concern for public safety.
