Waterloo Regional Police Investigating the Sixth Homicide of 2020

The Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Major Crime Unit and Forensic Identification Unit are continuing to investigate a homicide that occurred at a residence on Linden Drive in Cambridge.

On September 16, 2020, at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to the area for a weapons call. Upon arrival, police located a 26-year-old Cambridge male suffering from stab wounds. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A 28-year-old Kitchener male has been arrested in connection to this incident and has been charged with Second Degree Murder.

Investigators believe the suspect and victim are known to each other. There is no risk to public safety and police are not looking for any other suspects.
