Waterloo Regional Police Investigating Two Commercial Break and Enters in Waterloo

UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE:

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team has charged a male in connection to multiple commercial break-and-enters across Waterloo Region.

On July 8, 2024, investigators arrested a 49-year-old Mississauga male in connection to 11 break-ins that took place between 2021 and 2024. Medical, cosmetic, and independent businesses were targeted and cash and computers were stolen.

Charges include 11 counts of break and enter - commit indictable offence, two counts of possession of break and enter tools, and disguise with intent.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on August 6, 2024.

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS' Break, Enter, and Vehicle Theft Team.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating two commercial break-and-enters in Waterloo.

On February 28, 2024, police responded to two overnight break and enters. One being in the area of Eastbridge Boulevard and Bridge Street West, and the other being in the area of Erb Street West and Fischer-Hallman Road North.

The suspect gained access by smashing the front glass door and targeted cash, computers, and other small electronics. Police believe the suspect may have access to a vehicle, and is believed to be a suspect in a Cambridge incident.

The suspect is described as a male, with a medium to heavy build, wearing a face covering and holding a duffle bag.

Both businesses were unoccupied at the time of the incidences.

The Break and Enter, Vehicle Theft Team is continuing the investigation and asking for public assistance. CCTV footage is available to be viewed.
