Waterloo Regional Police Make Arrest after Drug Trafficking Investigation

Waterloo Region, Ontario  On February 24, 2021, as a result of an ongoing drug investigation, members of Waterloo Regional Police Service's Central Division Community Oriented Response and Enforcement (CORE) Team, with the assistance of the Emergency Response Team, completed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a residence in the area of David Bergey Drive and Activa Avenue in Kitchener.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with several offences including:

-Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Cocaine
-Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Schedule I Hydromorphone
-Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Selling
-Possession of Stolen Property Under $5000
-Possession of Identity Documents
-Identity Theft
-Identity Fraud
-Forgery
-Counterfeit Stamp
-Failing to Comply with a Release Order

As a result of the search warrant, police seized suspected cocaine, hydromorphone, cannabis, scales, stolen property, and several fraudulent identity documents.

The male was held for a bail hearing.
