Waterloo Regional Police Make Arrest after Reports of Male with a Gun in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 40-year-old Kitchener male after responding to reports of a male with a gun in Kitchener. 

On February 4, 2023, at approximately 1 a.m., police responded to the area around King Street East and Montgomery Road.

Police received information that a male was observed in the area with a concealed firearm. 

Police located the male and made an arrest. 

Through investigation, police determined that the firearm was a BB gun. 

As a result of the investigation, the male was charged with possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose and a breach of probation. 

There were no physical injuries reported. 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
