Waterloo Regional Police Make Arrest after Suspicious Vehicle in Waterloo

Member's of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Break, Enter and Vehicle Theft Team have made an additional arrest in connection to this investigation.

On January 3, 2022, officers located a second stolen vehicle in the area of Clair Creek Boulevard and Bennington Gate in Waterloo.

As a result of the investigation, a 47-year-old male, has been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property over $5000.

The investigation is ongoing.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Neighbourhood Policing North Division have laid charges after locating two individuals in a vehicle behind a business in Waterloo.

On January 3, 2022, at approximately 3:50 p.m., officers responded to the area of Erb Street West and Ira Needles Boulevard after receiving a report of a suspicious vehicle.

As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 33-year-old Kitchener male, was arrested and charged with: 

  • Operation while impaired
  • Refusal to comply with demand
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Break and enter

A 24-year-old Kitchener female, was arrested and charged with:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5000
  • Possession of suspected fentanyl
  • Possession of a stolen credit card
  • Two counts of possession of stolen identity documents

The male and female were also wanted on numerous outstanding warrants.

Both parties were held in custody for a bail hearing.
