
Waterloo Region, Ontario – On October 18, 2020, Waterloo Regional Police arrested an 18-year-old male in connection to a shooting that occurred at a residence on Birkinshaw Road in Cambridge.
On Saturday, October 17, 2020, at approximately 9:20 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to a residence on Birkinshaw Road after receiving reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, police located a 19-year-old male with injuries sustained from a gunshot wound. The male was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The suspect fled the area and was last seen in the area of Myers Road and Highway 24 in Cambridge.
The accused was arrested after turning himself in to police and has been charged with second-degree murder.
He is scheduled to appear in Kitchener’s Ontario Court of Justice on October 19, 2020.
