Waterloo Regional Police Officer Charged With Breach of Probation

A 21-year-member of the Waterloo Regional Police Service has been charged with one count of Breach of Probation following an investigation by the London Police Service.

The member was convicted in January 2019 of a number of criminal offenses, including three counts of Assault and one count of Assault with a Weapon. The member was arrested on September 25, 2020 for allegedly breaching a probation term associated with this conviction. The incidents occurred off-duty.

The officer, whose name is not being released to protect the name of the victim, is currently suspended without pay.
