Waterloo Regional Police Partner with Emergency Services to Say Thank You to Essential Workers

thank you parade

The Waterloo Regional Police Service will partner with the Cambridge Fire Department, Kitchener Fire Department, Waterloo Fire Rescue, and Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to show appreciation for essential workers in the community.

An emergency-service appreciation parade will take place on March 25, 2021 – one year after a State of Emergency was declared in Waterloo Region – to thank all essential service staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to keep the community safe and healthy during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The parade will kick-off at 11 a.m. in Cambridge and will travel through Kitchener and Waterloo. The parade will include a siren and lights salute as it passes Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Grand River Hospital, and St. Mary’s General Hospital, as well as a number of long-term care homes and COVID-19 vaccination clinics.
