Waterloo Regional Police Release Informational Video in Homicide Investigation

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police continue to investigate a Kitchener homicide and are releasing an informational video in hopes of generating new information that will lead to the identity of the suspect.

The video traces the suspects and suspect vehicle before and after the homicide that occurred on Thursday, September 20, 2018.

On September 20, 2018, at approximately 11:15 a.m., police responded to a parking lot in the area of Pandora Avenue and King Street in Kitchener, after receiving several 9-1-1 calls about a shooting.

Upon arrival, Isaiah Macnab, 20, was discovered deceased, as a result of multiple gunshot injuries.

Investigators are continuing to search for a white, four-door Mercedes CLA 250 car that was seen leaving the area with two individuals inside. The vehicle had stolen licence plates attached to it reading: BZBP153.

The vehicle left the area eastbound on Highway 401, exiting briefly at Highway 6 South, where it travelled a short distance and then returned to the eastbound lanes of Highway 401. It was last seen on Highway 401, exiting at Trafalgar Road at approximately 11:48 a.m.

The passenger in the vehicle has been identified as the person responsible for fatally shooting Isaiah Macnab. The suspect has been described as a black male, 18-25 years of age, with a thin to medium build.  

Waterloo Regional Police believe this to be a targeted incident.  Anyone with information in regards to this homicide is encouraged to call police at 519-570-9777 ext. 8191 or provide an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
