Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service (WRPS) is proud to present its 2024-2027 Strategic Business Plan.
The Strategic Plan outlines four goals that provide direction to WRPS in serving the residents of Waterloo Region over the next three years. The goals are Our Commitment to Safety, Our Connections, Our Members, and Our Resources.
“The 2024-2027 Strategic Business Plan outlines our commitment to meet the evolving needs of our dynamic community and that will help us uphold our vision that every person in Waterloo Region is safe and feels safe,” said Mark Crowell, Chief of Police. “We will continue our efforts to build a more equitable and inclusive service that focuses on people, partnerships, and professional excellence.”
In developing the Strategic Plan, WRPS engaged with the community through a series of 22 hour-long virtual dialogue sessions during the summer of 2023. Additional feedback was obtained from one-on-one interviews, email submissions, and through community representatives with existing trusted relationships who gathered responses on our behalf.
“I am pleased to introduce the 2024-2027 Strategic Business Plan,” said Ian McLean, Chair of the Waterloo Regional Police Services Board. “As we move forward with the plan, the Board's commitment to offering direction and assessing achievements, alongside the unwavering dedication to community safety by all members, will lead to a better, stronger, and safer Waterloo Region.”
The Waterloo Regional Police Service would like to thank you for taking the time to read this plan, as we take on this strategic framework over the next three years.
