Waterloo Regional Police Respond to Threats Call on Erb Street West in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario - On May 2, 2021, at approximately 5:20 p.m., Waterloo Regional Police responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of Erb Street West and Churchill Street in Waterloo. 

 The complainant advised police that they were threatened by a male who was brandishing a knife. Around the same time, the male who allegedly had the knife called to report that he was involved in an altercation with two other males. 

Based on initial reports, police believed that the male who allegedly brandished a knife had barricaded himself within a residence in the area

Through investigation, it was determined that the male was not barricaded within the residence. Police also did not form grounds to lay any charges in relation to the incident.
