Waterloo Regional Police's Traffic Services Investigating Motorcycle Collision in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit (TSU) is continuing to investigate a motorcycle collision in Kitchener.

On July 3, 2024, at approximately 11:25 p.m., emergency services responded to a single-vehicle collision on River Road East near Morgan Avenue.

Through the initial investigation, police determined that the driver lost control of the vehicle, a KTM motorcycle, struck a curb, and was thrown from the motorcycle when it hit a hydro pole.

The motorcyclist, an 18-year-old male, was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital with serious injuries but non-life-threatening injuries.

River Road East was closed for several hours for the investigation and has since reopened.

The investigation is ongoing by TSU investigators.
