Waterloo Regional Police Service Member Receives Blue Line Award

Sergeant Kelly Prebble 2021 Blue Line Lifetime in Law Enforcement Award

Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Service is proud to recognize Sergeant Kelly Prebble as the Blue Line - Lifetime in Law Enforcement Award recipient. 

Sergeant Prebble was presented with this award as a result of her exceptional leadership, dedication and passion for the law enforcement profession. 

“Sergeant Prebble's ability to foster trusting relationships with community partners and the public is a tremendous asset to the service,” said Bryan Larkin, Chief of Police. "The Waterloo Regional Police Service especially applauds her work with rural communities in the Region."  

Sergeant Prebble has dedicated her entire working life to policing, beginning as a Cadet at age 19 in 1992, before becoming a sworn member in 1994.  

She has taken on various roles throughout her career, including Patrol, Community Resource Officer, Detective, Uniform Recruiter, Detective Sergeant and Field Supervisor.  

In July 2021, Sergeant Prebble was transferred to the new Community Safety and Wellbeing Branch to help lead the Community Engagement Unit.
