Waterloo Regional Police Service to Host Award Ceremony

Awards Night

Waterloo Region, Ontario The Waterloo Regional Police Service is pleased to announce the recipients of its annual awards, as it recognizes the special efforts of Service members and members of the Waterloo Region community.

Throughout the night, the Service will recognize citizens, officers, and civilian members of WRPS who have gone above and beyond in contributing to community safety or crime prevention.

“This wonderful night is about celebrating the positive relationship between members of our Service and the community, which is vital in keeping our Region safe,” said Bryan Larkin, Chief of Police. “This is a tremendous event where we have the opportunity to thank not only our officers in their day-to-day work but also celebrate the extraordinary contributions made by community members who have shown true heroism and distinction.”

Local citizens will be acknowledged for their exceptional and selfless acts, while police officers will be recognized for exemplary and meritorious service to policing.

WRPS welcomes the community to attend and to help acknowledge the great deeds and accomplishments of the worthy recipients.

Awards Night will be held at CIGI in Kitchener, on September 24, 2019, at 7 p.m.
