WRPS Arrest an Impaired Driver After a Collision Involving a Motorcycle in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario –Waterloo Regional Police have charged a Waterloo male after a collision involving a motorcycle in Waterloo.

On May 3, 2025 at approximately 2:55 p.m., emergency services responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision in the area of Hazel Street and Austin Drive.

The vehicle, described as a 2017 black Hyundai Elantra, struck a motor cyclist and fled the scene of the accident.

Minor physical injuries were reported by the motor cyclist.

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Waterloo male was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Operation while impaired - blood alcohol concentration
  • Failure to stop after accident
  • Dangerous Operation
