WRPS Arrest Driver after Report of Suspicious Vehicle in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police arrested a male after a report of a suspicious vehicle in Kitchener.

On January 7, 2025, at approximately 1 a.m., police responded to the area of Deer Ridge Drive for reports of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers arrived and located the vehicle, which fled from police in a dangerous manner at a high rate of speed. Officers searched the area and located the vehicle at a nearby business on King Street East.

The driver of vehicle fled the area and Canine Team officers responded. A police service dog (PSD) located the suspect and officers arrested the male.

As a result of the investigation, a 27-year-old London male was arrested and charged with:

  • Flight from police
  • Dangerous operation of a vehicle
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Trespassing at night (eight counts)

There were no reports of any physical injuries.
