WRPS Arrest London Male in Child Pornography Investigation

Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit Investigation

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit has laid charges in an ongoing investigation.

In November 2023, police conducted an online undercover investigation with an officer posing as a youth. An adult male initiated contact with the undercover officer and described sexual acts towards the youth. The male then planned to meet the youth for a sexual purpose and was arrested by officers when he arrived.

As a result of the investigation, a 43-year-old London male was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Make Available Child Pornography (two counts)
  • Luring a Child

The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
