WRPS Arrest Male After Responding to Disturbance in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male after responding to a disturbance in Waterloo.

On April 27, 2025, at approximately 5:35 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance in the area of Milford Avenue and Weber Street North.

Upon arrival, officers learned that the victim had been assaulted a result of a verbal altercation. Officers arrested the male.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a 34-year-old Waterloo male was charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Assault cause bodily harm
  • Assault cause bodily harm- strangulation

The accused was held for bail hearing.

The involved individuals are believed to be known to one another.
