Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are continuing to investigate a robbery incident in Kitchener.
On February 11, 2024, at approximately 10:50 p.m., police responded to a report of a robbery at a store in the area of Ottawa Street South.
Through investigation, police learned that a male entered the store and concealed various merchandise items. An employee approached the suspect and was assaulted by the male. The male then proceeded to exit the store.
Officers arrived, located the male nearby and arrested him.
There were no physical injuries reported.
As a result of the investigation, a 33-year-old male was charged with Robbery with Violence.
The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
