WRPS Arrest Youth after Stabbing on King Street West in Kitchener

Ongoing stabbing investigation.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Police have charged a youth after a stabbing in Kitchener.

On December 1, 2022, at approximately 5:40 p.m., police responded to the area of King Street West and Green Street for reports of a stabbing.

Officers arrived in the area and located two victims with stab wounds.

One victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The second victim was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious non-life-threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation, a Kitchener youth has been arrested and charged with the following:

  • Weapons dangerous
  • Aggravated assault
  • Assault with a weapon (two counts)
  • Failure to comply with judicial release order (two counts)

The youth was held for a bail hearing.

The victims and accused are believed to be known to one another.

The investigation remains ongoing by WRPS' General Investigations Unit.
