WRPS Charge Male with 17 Criminal Offences after Break and Enter on Bricker Avenue in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police have charged a male after responding to a break-in at an apartment building in the area of Bricker Avenue and Albert Street in Waterloo. 

On August 10, 2022, at approximately 12:40 a.m., police received a call from the Laurier Special Constable Service requesting assistance for a male who was caught breaking into an apartment building. 

Upon arrival, members of WRPS continued the investigation. 

As a result of the investigation, a 25-year-old Waterloo male was charged with 17 criminal offences, including: 

  • Break and enter - a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence
  • Trespass near a dwelling house
  • Possession of stolen mail
  • Possession of an identity document 
  • Mischief under $5,000
  • Theft under $5,000 from a motor vehicle 
  • Five counts of possession of stolen goods under $5,000
  • Six counts of breach of probation orders 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
