WRPS Charge Male with Sexual Assault after Suspect Breaks into Kitchener Residence

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a male in connection to a sexual assault that occurred at a residence in Kitchener. 

On August 11, 2022, at approximately 1:35 a.m., police responded to a residence in the area of Forest Hill Drive and Westmount Road for reports of a sexual assault. 

An unknown male broke into the residence and sexually assaulted a female. 

The victim did not sustain any physical injuries. 

Upon arrival, police located the male suspect still within the residence, and the male was arrested. 

As a result of the investigation, a 71-year-old Kitchener male has been charged with Sexual Assault and Break and Enter - Commit Sexual Assault. 

The accused was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
