WRPS Continue to Investigate Kitchener Disturbance

Waterloo Region, Ontario  Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after receiving a report of a disturbance in Kitchener.

On August 8, 2022, at approximately 2:35 p.m., police responded to the area of Kingsway Drive and Wilson Avenue after a suspect pointed a canister of dog spray at the victim. Officers arrived in the area and arrested the suspect.

As a result of the investigation, a 12-year-old Kitchener youth was charged with:

  • Assault with a weapon
  • Possession of weapon for dangerous purpose
  • Unauthorized possession of a weapon

The investigation is ongoing.
