WRPS Continue to Investigate Residential Fire in Waterloo

Waterloo Region, Ontario – On August 14, 2022, at approximately 8:40 a.m., emergency services responded to the area of Albert Street and Hickory Street West in Waterloo for reports of a residential fire.

Occupants were evacuated from the residence and one male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries sustained from the fire.

The Waterloo Fire Department extinguished the fire.

The cause of the fire is undetermined but continues to be investigated by the Waterloo Regional Police Service's General Investigations Unit and the Ontario Office of the Fire Marshal.
