
Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit (TSU) is continuing to investigate a single motor vehicle collision in Woolwich Township.
On May 20, 2024, at approximately 3:15 p.m., emergency services responded to a single motor vehicle collision on Line 86 near Sideroad 16.
Through the initial investigation, police determined that the driver of a pickup truck was travelling south on Line 86 when they left the roadway, and struck a fence.
The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old Woolwich Township male, was transported to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.
Line 86 was closed for several hours for the investigation and has since reopened.
The investigation is ongoing.
