WRPS Cybercrime - Child Exploitation Unit Completes Investigation

Media Release - Cybercrime Shareable

Waterloo Region, Ontario - In March 2021, the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit commenced an investigation involving child pornography.  

As a result of the investigation, on May 3, 2021, police arrested a 43-year-old Kitchener male, charging him with Possession of Child Pornography.  

The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet. This project has been made possible by a grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General.
