Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police arrests three individuals in connection to a series of property thefts.
On September 10, 2024, police responded to a residence in the area of Frederick Street in Kitchener for a report of stolen property.
Three unknown suspects entered into a residential parking garage and stole an electric bike. The suspects left before police arrival.
On September 11, 2024, one of the same suspects entered an apartment building in the area of Belmont Avenue and stole property from parked vehicles. The suspect arrived in a stolen vehicle and left before police arrival.
On September 13, 2024, members of the Direct Action Response Team identified the three suspects and completed a search warrant at a Kitchener residence. Officers were able to recover stolen property, including a stolen vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Kitchener male was charged with the following:
- Break and enter to commit and indictable offence
- Possession of stolen property un $5000
- Two counts of breach a probation order
- Two counts of fail to comply with an undertaking
The male was held for a bail hearing.
Subsequently, a 28-year-old Kitchener female and a 46-year-old Kitchener male were charged with break and enter to commit an indictable offence. The two are scheduled to appear in court in October 2024.
