
Waterloo Region, Ontario – On January 13, 2022, Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Direct Action Response Team (DART) and Emergency Response Team completed two Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrants in the area of Victoria Street North and Frederick Street in Kitchener.
As a result of the investigation, a 35-year-old Kitchener male, a 33-year-old Kitchener female and a 24-year-old Kitchener female were arrested.
Investigators seized a handgun, prohibited knife, bulletproof vest and counterfeit currency. Suspected methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, heroin, and hydropmorphone were also seized.
The 35 year-old-male and 33-year-old female have been charged with numerous drug, weapons and counterfeit currency offences.
