WRPS Drugs and Firearms Unit Make Arrests after Investigation in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Drugs and Firearms Unit arrested two individuals after an investigation in Kitchener. 

On May 19, 2022, police completed a search warrant at an address in the area of Weber Street East and Kinzie Avenue. 

As a result of the search warrant, police seized a quantity of suspected cocaine, hydromorphone pills and bear spray. 

A 52-year-old male was charged with two counts of possession of drugs for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a prohibited weapon and three counts of breach of a weapons prohibition order. 

A 27-year-old female was charged with three counts of breaching release orders. 

Both parties were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
