WRPS Emergency Response Team Arrest a Kitchener Male for Uttering Threats

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Police responded to reports of a male making threats at a Kitchener residence.

On November 20, 2023, at approximately 11:30 a.m., police attended a residence in the area of St. George Street and Hebel Place.

Through the investigation, police learned a 49-year-old female received threats from a male, as well as destroying property belonging to her. Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Emergency Response Team attended and completed a warrant at the residence.

As a result of the investigation, a 28-year-old male has been charged with multiple offences, including:

  • Uttering threats to cause death
  • Criminal harassment
  • Mischief under $5000
  • Uttering threats to cause property damage

No physical injuries were reported. The male was held in police custody for a bail hearing.
