UPDATED MEDIA RELEASE: 

Waterloo Region, Ontario - As a result of an ongoing investigation into several vehicles being spray-painted on August 21, 2022, in the Spruce Street area of Waterloo, police have made an arrest. 

A 21-year-old Waterloo male has been charged with Mischief under $5,000. 

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on September 28, 2022.

PREVIOUS MEDIA RELEASE: 

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police are investigating after receiving reports of graffiti spray-painted on vehicles in the areas of King Street North and Spruce Street in Waterloo.

On August 21, 2022, at approximately 6 a.m., 14 vehicles were spray-painted with graffiti, including hate-motivated symbols and writing.

The investigation is ongoing by WRPS’ General Investigations Unit.
