WRPS Investigation Collision Involving Dirt Bike in Wilmot Township

Waterloo Region, Ontario  Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is continuing to investigate a collision in Wilmot Township.

On August 6, 2024, at approximately 10 p.m., emergency services responded to reports of a collision between a Ford and an electric dirt bike on Mannheim Road, near Witmer Road. 

The dirt bike driver, an 18-year-old Kitchener female, was transported by air ambulance to an out-of-region hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford, a 24-year-old Kitchener male, did not sustain any physical injuries.

Mannheim Road was closed for several hours for the police investigation.

The investigation is ongoing, and charges are anticipated.
