WRPS Issue Three-Day Licence Suspension after Responding to Waterloo Collision

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service is continuing to investigate a collision in Waterloo.

On February 11, 2024, at approximately 2:55 a.m., police responded to reports of a single motor vehicle collision in the area of Erb Street East and Margaret Avenue.

Through investigation, it was determined that the driver lost control, left the roadway and struck two poles.

A passenger was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening physical injuries.

The driver, a 39-year-old female was charged with Careless Driving. The driver was also issued a three-day licence suspension after registering an alert on an approved screening device.

The road was closed for multiple hours while the poles were repaired.

The investigation remains ongoing.
