WRPS Make Arrest in Motor Vehicle Theft in Kitchener

Waterloo Region, Ontario - Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Break Enter and Vehicle Theft Team have made an arrest in a stolen vehicle investigation.

On January 4, 2022, at approximately 4:25 p.m., a suspicious vehicle was observed in the area of Weber Street East and Fergus Avenue in Kitchener.

Through investigation, it was determined that the vehicle had been reported stolen in December 2021.

The driver, a 26-year-old Kitchener female, was arrested and charged with numerous criminal offences, including:

  • Possession of stolen property over $5,000
  • Possession of stolen property under $5,000
  • Theft under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with a release order
  • Operation while prohibited
  • Operation while impaired by drug
  • Possession of suspected methamphetamine
