WRPS Make Impaired Arrest and Seize Narcotics in Waterloo

Impaired Driver Arrest

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have arrested and charged a driver after responding to an incident in Waterloo.

On November 21, 2022, at approximately 6 p.m., police responded to the area of Parkside Drive and Glenelm Crescent for a report of an individual sleeping behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Officers arrived and arrested the driver for impairment by drug. During the investigation, officers located and seized numerous pharmacy packaged prescription narcotics within the vehicle that were determined to be stolen.

As a result of the investigation, a 39-year-old Orangeville female was charged with the following:

  • Operation while impaired
  • Possession of stolen goods over $5,000
  • Possession for the purpose of trafficking (three counts)
