WRPS North Division Officers Arrest Two in Connection to Stolen Vehicle Investigation

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Officers from Waterloo Regional Police’s Neighbourhood Policing North Division have arrested two individuals in connection to a stolen vehicle investigation. 

On November 23, 2022, at approximately 7:20 p.m., police received a report of a vehicle stolen from a parking lot in Waterloo. 

At approximately 7:35 p.m., police located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop in the area of Bearinger Road and Glen Forrest Boulevard.

The driver and passenger were arrested for being in possession of the stolen vehicle and the subsequent investigation led to the discovery of two concealed pellet guns.

As a result of the investigation, two male youths from Kitchener have been jointly charged with theft of motor vehicle, possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose (two counts), and possession of stolen property over $5,000. One of the youths was also charged with three counts of breach of undertaking. 

Both youths were held in police custody for a bail hearing.
