
Waterloo Region, Ontario – A 21-year-member of the Waterloo Regional Police Service has been charged with one count of Breach of Probation following an investigation by the London Police Service.
The member was convicted in January 2019 of several criminal offences, including three counts of Assault and one count of Assault with a Weapon.
The member was arrested on April 29, 2021, at 1:45 p.m., in Kitchener, for allegedly breaching a probation term associated with this conviction.
The officer, whose name is not being released to protect the name of the victim, is currently suspended without pay.
A court date has been scheduled for May 27, 2021, in Kitchener’s Ontario Court of Justice.
