Waterloo Region, Ontario – The Waterloo Regional Police Break, Enter and Vehicle Theft team seeks public assistance for a break and enter investigation.
On September 24, 2024, at approximately 5:15 a.m., police responded to a break and enter in the Deer Ridge neighborhood in the City of Kitchener.
At approximately 4:50 a.m., suspects entered a home while the homeowners were sleeping. The suspects were targeting keys belonging to the vehicles in the driveway. The homeowners woke up to the sound of the suspects in their homes and camera alerts, and the suspects fled on foot.
The suspects were unsuccessful in stealing the vehicles.
It is believed that the suspects were dropped off and picked up by another vehicle which would have been circling the neighborhood before the incident.
Suspect 1 was described as a male with a thin build wearing a grey hoodie, grey gloves, grey Nike Tech Fleece track pants with black zipper, and white shoes.
Subject 2 was a male with a thin build wearing a black hoodie, black face mask, red gloves, black track pants, and white shoes.
