WRPS Seize Drugs and Loaded Firearm in Kitchener Drug Investigation

Drug investigation seizure.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Drugs and Firearms Unit have concluded a drug investigation.

On November 10, 2022, the Drugs and Firearms Unit arrested a male in the area of Ottawa Street South and Strasburg Road in Kitchener.

Investigators seized suspected cocaine, a loaded firearm, ammunition and currency.

As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Kitchener male was arrested and charged with the following offences:

  • Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (two counts)
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in a Vehicle
  • Possession of a Prohibited Firearm with Ammunition
  • Careless Storage of a Firearm

The male was held for a bail hearing.
