WRPS Traffic Services Unit Investigating Fatal Collision at Intersection in Wilmot Township

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit are investigating a fatal collision that occurred in Wilmot Township. 

At approximately 7:30 a.m., emergency services responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles in the area of Nafziger Road and Carmel Koch Road. The vehicles collided in the intersection. 

As a result of the collision, one of the drivers, a 70-year-old female, was pronounced deceased due to her injuries. 

The other driver, a 19-year-old male, was taken to an out-of-region hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. 

The road was closed for approximately four hours during the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
