WRPS' Traffic Services Unit Investigating Fatal Collision in North Dumfries Township

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Unit are investigating a fatal collision in North Dumfries Township.

On August 27, 2024, at approximately 5:45 a.m., emergency services responded to a serious collision involving a motor vehicle and a cyclist at the intersection of Roseville Road and Kings Road.

The cyclist, a 57-year-old male, was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Roseville Road was closed between Dumfries Road and Cameron Road for several hours and has since re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing. 

Anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have dash camera video footage is asked to call the WRPS Traffic Services Unit at 519-570-9777, extension 8856.
