Waterloo Region, Ontario – Investigators from WRPS' Traffic Services Unit have charged a driver in connection to a collision involving a pedestrian in Cambridge.
On February 8, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Elgin Street North and Avenue Road for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, the driver, a 27-year-old male from Cambridge, has been charged with careless driving causing bodily harm.

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police Service's Traffic Services Unit is investigating a collision involving a motor vehicle and a pedestrian in Cambridge.
On February 8, 2024, at approximately 6:45 p.m., emergency services responded to the area of Elgin Street North and Avenue Road for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle.
The pedestrian, a 46-year-old Cambridge female, was transported by Region of Waterloo Paramedic Services to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Area roadways were closed for approximately two hours for the police investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
